Preparing for Erica's Big Day!

We got to Utah a few days before the wedding. I have to admit I wasn't the greatest sister when we arrived. I kept wanting to be the BIG sister. Well, actually, I tried to be more like her mother. But those of you who know us well know that pretending to be her mother comes easy for me. As we grew up we were very close in our teenage years. So, I just had to accept the fact in a way that she was getting married. (Strange as that may sound). But, a few arguments paved the way for a beautiful few days of celebration. I love you, sis! I was so excited for her. Nick is such a great guy. They get along so well & make a great couple. Their kids are going to have the most gorgeous blue eyes ever!!!
Nick and Erica at the wedding dinner held the night before at the Lion House.
I promised Maddy I would post a picture of my $9.00 dress from Ross. I had to go shopping the week before the wedding as I realized I was going to need a maternity dress. And, to my surprise, Ross had something cute for only $8.99....it must have been meant to be. Since when do you ever find cute maternity clothes at ROSS?
One of the neatest things about Erica getting married was that I got to be her escort in the temple twice. What an honor. It was so wonderful to be there with her. Nick was so cute and kept trying to sneak looks at her the whole time! It was such a neat experience and a great evening. She went through the Bountiful Temple two days before the wedding. I was so glad I got to be there, thanks for including me, sis! Here we are right before heading up to the temple. Afterwards we went to Applebee's, the only restaurant still open in Bountiful after 9 p.m. on a weeknight. It was delicious. I have a very hungry critter inside of me. We gave Erica a bad time for ordering ASAP water. The waitor was like, what is that??

That was such a fun wedding. Erica was beautiful! My husband wanted to stay all night just for the band. I was so happy to be able to talk with you for a few minutes, and Scooter was glad to see your boys. I hope we can see you guys again later this month. You look so cute in your $9 dress! I never would've guessed.

Let me clarify...I never would've guessed the dress was $9. I always know you'll look fabulous in anything you wear!
